About Destrie Boyar
My paintings live in the space between movement and emotion — a dialogue between control and release. I work intuitively, letting each gesture lead to the next, building layers of texture, rhythm, and energy until the surface feels alive.
Abstraction gives me a way to translate feeling into form — to express the things that exist beneath words. Each piece begins without a fixed plan, guided instead by instinct, music, and mood. The process is physical and meditative, sometimes chaotic, sometimes still, always searching for balance.
I want my work to pull the viewer inward — to mirror the emotional weight, tension, and calm we all carry. Every brushstroke is part of that conversation, a reflection of how movement, color, and emotion can coexist in a single moment of honesty.
